Good morning everyone,
This Saturday, we enjoyed a great deal of fellowship as both St. Timothy’s and Faith Methodist came together to undertake our spring cleaning of buildings and property. Thirty came and undertook several projects, and in my time here, I have never seen things looking so good. There was so much to catch up on, and the curbs were filled with tree limbs and old bushes for disposal. This makes the ongoing work by the volunteers who help out during the year much easier to keep up with. In addition, significant progress was made in cataloging the library books. It was a glorious day in the Lord and the vestry, and the clergy are so grateful to everyone who worked so hard to get things “ship shape in Bristol fashion!” For me, the joy was seeing the members of both parishes working so closely together- an excellent example for all Christians!
VETERAN’S FUNERAL: We will enter US Navy Veteran Thomas Dixon in the Memorial Garden this Saturday. Tom was a beloved local man who died in a sudden accident. He was a great lover of animals, especially cats. Fr. Peter and I will conduct the burial service. We have invited his friends and other vets; his sister and niece will represent the family.
CHANGE NOTE: The Ladies/St. Hilda’s Guild meeting has been pushed out a week after Easter @ 10am.
EASTER LILLIES: We will distribute a sheet for those wishing to buy Easter Lillies for the Church this Sunday.
OFFICE HOURS AND MORNING PRAYER: The office will be closed for two weeks after Easter. The first week is for some downtime, and the second week is for Synod in Athens-clergy, available 24/7 for any sick calls, home visits, or emergencies. We will check phone messages at the office or call me on my cell phone.
Have a blessed week, everyone, Fr. Jeff+
