Septuagesima Sunday starts preparations for Lent, the ninth Sunday before Easter, and the third before Ash Wednesday. The term applies to the seventy days beginning on Septuagesima Sunday, January 28th, and ending on the Saturday after Easter, April, 6th. Easter falls on March 31st this year of our Lord 2024.
